4/27/07

Had my first fairly bad day in a while.

Started off on Full Tilt 100nl 6max, and was both running and playing poorly. I was actually down 3 and a half buyins at one point, the type of downswing I haven't had in a while.

Here's the hand that probably initiated my bad play, kind of a cooler b/c I had the flush re-draw on the turn. My biggest mistakes in this hand were not 3betting preflop (villain had fishy stats) and my thin river call (hard to lay down given how action went). Villain in the hand made some smart ass comment after the hand, typing in "nh" and "AQ?" and some other douchebaggery. Here's how the action went:

Here's my biggest pot won from this session, and of the day, where I flop top set with AA and dodge a frush draw, and make some money back:

A little while later I went back on FT, played for another hour and 45 minutes, and won back $42.

I played a total of 5 hours and 15 minutes on FT for the day, 1300 hands, running at 15.15/11.1/2.9, and lost $118.

Overall, I lost $149 on the day, certainly my worst day in a while, but looking back on it I'm actually proud of myself that I grinded my way out of my initial downswing and made back over half of what I lost. It took a losing day for me to actually play a decent amount of hands, 1300 hands in a day being by far the most in a day for me in a while.
