4/28--4/29/07

Had myself a nice lil' weekend, rebounding from my bad Friday. :)

Started off playing on Full Tilt 100nl 6max, playing a nice 2 hour and 15 minute session, winnning $275 over 585 hands, running at 15.7/11.1/2.4.

Here's my biggest pot won from this session, where I dodge a flush draw after I flop trips w/ top kicker:

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $54
BB: $100
toohigh305 (UTG): $206
BTN: $109.55

Preflop: toohigh305 is dealt (4 Players)
toohigh305 raises to $3.50, BTN folds, SB calls $3, BB calls $2.50

Flop: ($10.50) (3 Players)
SB checks, BB bets $8, toohigh305 raises to $28, SB folds, BB raises all-in to $96.50, toohigh305 calls $68.50

Turn: ($203.50) (2 Players - 1 All-In)

River: ($203.50) (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $203.50 ($2 Rake)

BB had (a pair of Queens) and LOST (-$100)
toohigh305 had (three of a kind, Queens) and WON (+$101.50)

After this session, I played in both of my usual tournaments on Stars: the $11 1 rebuy/1 addon, and the $27.50 Guaranteed. And who woulda thunk, OMFG I CASHED IN BOTH OF THEM! UNPOSSIBLE!!!

I made the final table of the $11 1 rebuy/1 addon, which I felt I played really really well. I profited $450 from this one, a very nice score, finishing in 7th place out of 630 entries, playing for a total of 5 hours and 15 minutes.

The following hand crippled me at the FT, at which point I was running well and 3rd in chips. Some idiot tries to resteal with a short stack with an awful holding. Sure enough, he gets there:

I was proud of this score, b/c it proved to myself that I CAN go deep in one of these bastards, as well as being able to withstand a lot of beats and coolers throughout the tourny (something I haven't done very well lately).

I had a decent finish in the Guaranteed as well, finishing in 68th place out of 1,110 players, profiting $31, playing for a little over 3 and a half hours. After this cash, I kind of felt that cashing in this tournament was easier than the 1 rebuy/1 addon one, b/c they pay a larger % of the field, and the return on the bottom-tier prizes is better.

On Sunday I began the day off as I did on Saturday, playing FT 100nl 6max. Unfortunately, I ran kinda bad, perhaps a bit jaded after my donkament score, and lost $91 over 315 hands, playing for 1 hour and 20 minutes, running at 16.7/11.2/1.8.

During this session, there was this one LAGtard that basically owned me. He was really loose, but sure enough, hit everytime I was up against him.

Hand 1 where he owns me:

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $112.70
BB: $84.70
UTG: $81.25
CO: $135.55
toohigh305 (BTN): $111.90

Preflop: toohigh305 is dealt (5 Players)
UTG folds, CO raises to $3.50, toohigh305 raises to $12, SB folds, BB calls $11, CO calls $8.50

Flop: ($36.50) (3 Players)
BB bets $30, CO folds, toohigh305 calls $30

Turn: ($96.50) (2 Players)
BB bets all-in for $42.70, toohigh305 calls $42.70

River: ($181.90) (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $181.90 ($3 Rake)

BB had (a full house, Kings full of Twos) and WON (+$94.20)
toohigh305 had (two pair, Kings and Twos) and LOST (-$84.70)

Hand 2 where he owns me:

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $67.50
BB: $129.30
toohigh305 (UTG): $105
MP: $143.65
CO: $105.10
BTN: $141.45

Preflop: toohigh305 is dealt (6 Players)
toohigh305 raises to $3, 2 folds, BTN calls $3, 2 folds

Flop: ($7.50) (2 Players)
toohigh305 bets $5, BTN raises to $10, toohigh305 calls $5

Turn: ($27.50) (2 Players)
toohigh305 checks, BTN bets $18, toohigh305 calls $18

River: ($63.50) (2 Players)
toohigh305 checks, BTN bets $50, toohigh305 calls $50

Pot Size: $163.50 ($3 Rake)

BTN had (three of a kind, Fives) and WON (+$79.50)
toohigh305 had (two pair, Aces and Queens) and LOST (-$81)

My play in both hands is certainly suspect, I'm just not sure how I could play them differently postflop.

I then went back to Stars to play my usual MTTs again, and wow, I actually cashed in one of them again: the $11 1 rebuy/1 addon. THAT'S 3 DONKAMENT CASHES IN 4 DONKAMENTS, UNPOSSIBLE!!!

Unfortuantely, I only finished in 47th place this time out of 815 entries, profiting $14, playing for a little over 3 and a half hours. I didn't cash in the Guaranteed this time, though, so I wound up losing $13.50 on this MTT session. Can't complain though, seeing how I cashed in another MTT. I can already feel my play in these improving, as I have been deeply analyzing my play in them, trying to figure out what the best strategy and approaches are for each tourny.

On the weekend overall, I made $467 playing lol donkaments, getting me a bit unstuck on Stars, and made $185 on Full Tilt, for a total of $652 on the weekend. Saturday was probably one of my best days of this year, making $756, certainly a HUGE day for me.
